Jessie Holtham is often asked, “Why did you choose Real Estate as a profession?”
Her answer: “I didn’t. It chose me.” Jim Feiner discovered Jessie working in town government on affordable housing issues. Back then representing buyers & sellers on property transactions was not on her radar, but sea kayak guiding and trail biking were, plus brew-pub managing and spearheading the MV Shell Recycling Partnership efforts. She knew all the places and delighted in sharing the island experience.
Becoming a Real Estate Sales Agent was an unmistakable career and lifestyle choice. Today she competently navigates the challenges of negotiations and believes in standing by her client’s goals.
Jessie has been living adventurously on Martha’s Vineyard since washing-ashore from Maine. She is raising a family with island native Mike Holtham in West Tisbury.

I first came to the island as a baby to Gay Head with my family.
I was a summer resident through college and moved here full time in 1970. In the mid-seventies I started offshore sailing and migrated seasonally to the Caribbean delivering yachts, working on coastal freighters delivering island cargos throughout the Eastern Caribbean, eventually settling into St Thomas, USVI, getting married, building a house, rebuilding a 35” wooden boat, doing construction work and running day sail charter boats. After 20 years in the Caribbean and Bahamas, I moved back to Marthas Vineyard in 2001. I have been a broker at Feiner Real Estate since 2010.
I moved to Martha's Vineyard in 1979 settling in Gay Head and started my first business, Vineyard Virtu (antiques, vintage clothing, and collectibles). In 1988 became a Mom and worked various service jobs.
1997, began my Real Estate career. I love searching and finding the "Right House" for my clients and showing Seller's properties with knowledge and zeal!! With over 20 years in the business, I have the experience necessary to make the process flow seamlessly forward to its closure. 1998 brought the start of Book A Boat, my boat and kayak rental company that is located in Menemsha. After 20 years, it has grown to be the biggest and best on Island. As a lucky recipient of an affordable lot, I have a passion for the affordable housing problem here. I have a been a long term Board member of Island Housing Trust. With many years of island living and life itself, I am happy to serve you with any and all of your real estate needs.
