Stonewall Beach is one of those coveted locations that remain a well kept secret due to it’s limited home sites and unique location. A gorgeous association set along both Stonewall pond and the ocean, Stonewall is known for the rock formation that serves as a barrier beach between the pond and the ocean. The Sagan home was designed and built by renowned builders, South Mountain Company, and is sited perfectly at the top of the hill to maximize the pleasure of this gorgeous land. The property has a huge rolling meadow in front of the house which disappears into a stand of pines and the sunset orientation takes in the huge skies to the south and west for spectacular afternoons. The now overgrown water view may be reclaimed by removing some of the pines on the lower part of the lot. Built in 1979 with a large family in mind this sunny and cheery home spreads nicely across the hilltop where it all the lower rooms have private accesses to the outside. The open living area is ideal for entertaining and the sunken living room with large fireplace promises to be cozy on cooler nights. A hybridized post and beam frame lends an air of strength to the design with Terra cotta tile floors running through much of the lower level. Two outdoor showers for quick rinsing after the beach ensure that the gang makes their dinner reservations on time. The 2 rooms upstairs have fun sleeping options that will delight the younger members of the family. With a gorgeously beach that is notable for its surf breaks and fishing, Stonewall is a short bike ride to Chilmark center, and Squibnocket and Lucy Vincent beaches and is ideal for those that want easy access but not be miles down endless dirt roads. Hear the surf nearby and sleep well without concerns about erosion and insurance issues. This is a wonderful home, close enough to walk to the south shore beach and ready for your family to enjoy for summer 2017 with no rentals in place.
